She posed a heart of giving, always willing to help her friends and family; and even complete strangers in anyway possible. Nancy attended Arlington Heights Baptist Church and so enjoyed her church family; she loved working in the kitchen for special events. Nancy enjoyed seeing the changes in the children of the church as they grew older before her.As you reflect on Nancy’s life do not so with sorrow in your heart, but rather hold a smile on your face as you have received a blessing, the blessing of knowing in a personal way one of God’s children, one who did not feel sorry for herself or her modest beginnings in Kentucky, but rather one who had a sense of pride in her heritage. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Jose L. Puig, those left to hold her memory are: her son, Daughter in law, three grandchildren, sister, brother and nephews.Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Arlington Heights Baptist Church in her name.

Mary Anne Lundy says
From that first day we met at Indiana Bell back in 1966, I could tell that Nancy was a special person. Her smile and welcoming laugh made me feel right at home. Through the years we have shared many life events, both happy and sad. My wish is that everyone would be lucky enough to have one, true and loving friend like Nancy. I will miss her more than words can say.
Cheryl Rodgers says
Although Nancy was a few years older than me, we grew up in the same community and attended Mt. Salem Baptist Church together.
Nancy loved and care about people. Her laughter was joy.
While Nancy may be gone from your sight, she will always be there in your memories and hearts. With heartfelt sympathy.
